To Veil or Not To Veil....

Now that I have the dress I can start thinking about the accessories. =) I haven't yet decided if I want to wear a veil or some other kind of hair piece. I started to poke around on etsy for some hair piece ideas and here's some I'm kinda feelin'.

Opinions please!!

Or maybe something simple like this....

Or maybe I'll just go to a craft store and see if I can't concoct something of my own...

What do you ladies think? Love any of them? Should I even do the hair toy thing or just stick to a veil?

  1. I am thinking about doing both with my hair. A veil for the ceremony and a pretty headpiece for the reception. But not so sure yet...
I love the second one with the little feathers. I love feathers :-) The last one is also simple and elegant. I like it !!!

  2. I was going to suggest what Nu Flaiir is doing...a veil for ceremony and pics and a flower piece for the reception. The flower hair pieces are so fun and pretty and popular right now...but the veil just makes the bride thing so real. My sister put flowers in her hair sporadically that matched her gown and didn't do a veil at all...she told me she wishes she would have done the veil. I wasn't going to buy one because I couldn't justify the extra expense with other things that were more important to me. However, a close friend got married a year ago and I asked her how she would feel about loaning me her veil and letting it be my 'something borrowed' since it was exactly what I would have wanted and matched my gown. I was thrilled when she said she'd be honored :)

  3. That is a FANTASTIC idea! I might have to check with some of my married friends about that! What an awesome way to satisfy the "something borrowed" and save a few bucks on the veil! =)

  4. As someone who wears alot of hair ornaments, I'd suggest trying of a bunch of different styles~Claires is a good place to look and they often have sales. I've picked quite a few up on their 5 for $10 rack) Thru trial and error I've learned that bigger styles with some height to them suit me best! They are tons of fun to wear! And it's impossible to be sad or cranky when you're wearing flowers and feathers in your hair! Have fun finding what's best for you!

  5. Ha ha, can't ask me to borrow my veil cuz I don't have one! lol. But if I did I'd let you borrow it. But I think you should go with the flower in your hair. It'd look awesome with yoru dress and totally fit with the beach and everything. I like the first and second flowers you posted and the last one. :)

  6. I personally am fond of the hair flower instead of a veil...I think veils are pretty, but when I tried them on, I wasn't totally feeling it...I think you have some lovely hair flower options up there to choose from!!!
